1. Controller

PEACETAPE inc. (PEACETAPE株式会社), 1-33-6 1F Ebisunishi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0021, Japan is the data controller for personal information collected through our services.

2. What we collect

When you register: email address, username, and password (stored as a hash). When you use the service: audio recordings and files you upload, profile information you choose to provide, interactions with other users' content (likes, comments), and basic usage data (pages visited, features used, errors encountered) to keep services running.

3. How we use your data

To provide and operate the service; to send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset); to detect and prevent abuse and fraud; to improve our products based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area: we process your data on the basis of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for core service functions, and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for security and fraud prevention. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

5. Third-party services

We use third-party infrastructure providers for authentication, database, and file storage. These providers may process your data on servers located outside Japan, including in the United States, under appropriate contractual safeguards. We only work with providers that maintain adequate data protection standards.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded content is retained until you delete it or your account. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days. After account deletion, we may retain minimal records required by law for up to 5 years.

7. Your rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact us. We will respond within 30 days. Users in the EEA also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Account and content deletion

You can delete your account and all associated content at any time from within the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Content you have shared publicly may remain visible to others who have already accessed it until caches expire.

9. Cookies

We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. No consent banner is required as we use no non-essential cookies.

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
